A substantial part of pleasing performances for small children can be
finding out what they are telling to one another this week / month.

Otherwise, mine the depths of Aesop and Grimm (and adjust to leave out /
rework the questionable bits), "borrow" from current faves like the
Wiggles or dive back a generation or two (Keeshan's Captain Kangaroo,
local TV kiddie shows, etc.).

AND work up your _own_ materials as often as you can ... and when you
get feedback, in giggles or in "ewwwww, yuck", take it back and rework
your gems again...
