I for one am glad that you are very meticulous when it comes to your
costuming. I wouldn't call you an authenticity Nazi or the like. Sounds like
you should receive the Lion of Ansteorra especially the way it sounds how
you dress and present yourself and your persona.

I think the point is, is that no one really should care if you do or not.
If you want to be accurate, and do things in an accurate way, *you'll care*
and will do what you can one way or another. If you aren't interested in
it, it's no one's business but yours. Aside from the basic standard of "you

must make an attempt at pre 17th century costume", there are no rules
forcing you to do diddly.

All, I ask for is the same consideration -- if I want to do things _for me_
in a period fashion (or nor, as has been discussed in this thread) don't
give me crap for it, and don't call me an authenticity nazi, or authenticity

police. If people ask for help, I'll give it if I can. If people ask
questions, I'll answer with the most historically accurate answer I can give

them, because that's what I'm interested in.

I have to say that I'm a little tired of people assuming that if I'm in a
thread and the question of what is accurate comes up, and I give an answer,
peiople feel the need to defend the fact that they don't want to do that
(sometimes quite vociferously). Kvetching about special needs does not
magically change something that is not accurate into something that IS
accurate.

I tend to wear my modern eyeglasses so that I can see, too. So what? It's
still not accurate, but that's my cross to bear, and I won't lie to you and
tell you it IS accurate. Someday I'll have to either decide to get used to
not wearing my glasses and just not see stuff, or I won't.
