The original name (when we first became a region of Atenveldt) was
Ansteorra. When Sir Sean became Prince, he decided to change the spelling to
Ansteora (and the name of the newsletter from "Black Star" to "Sable Star".)
...
...
not according to sean last sunday (i do dinner at their place most sundays),
where the curiosity initially got tweaked about the actualities of who & why
behind the myths. between myself and him (and likely Balthy, Miles, Grey
Raven and a few others still out there), we've got some intersting documents
saved from the march-to-principality and post phases that show ansteora as
the origional common and official usage that changed to ansteorra later
(anyone here from beornsburg at that time - pre principality - who might
still have some old paperwork ???) - when able, asked him to drag out (after
he gets unpacked and beter settled in .. just moved into a new place)
anything related to the inquisition & banishings in his files to check the
spellings (maybe able to better tie down the changes to exactly who & when
.. plus copies for the house archives would be good).

seem to remember a long & deep thread on the subject on the Rialto back in
the BBS space - BCI (before common internet) should spin-up the saved drives
with the message archives from then and see whats there (damned nuscience
SCSI drives, controllers & drivers).

not sure about the black/sable star issue, would have to get into some long
term storage up dallas way to check (have most of my old newsletters and
TI's crated and stored, including all the pre 90's stuff)

'wolf
... curiosity & free time, a often dangerous combination
