No, that was quite deliberate. In its very earliest days, all the 
Ansteorran groups were in Texas (Namron--which is the oldest SCA 
group in Oklahoma--didn't get started until several months after the 
organizational meeting in Bjornsborg that Clare mentioned yesterday) 
so an Old English and/or Latin rendition of "Lone Star" seemed quite 
reasonable at the time.
