I am a daughter of a barrel maker. My husband is a vintner and married me to seal a deal for barrels for his wine. The fun one was my daughter. In growing up in the SCA her personna changed three times so I fashoned a story to allow that. She started off a dignified but willful Italian daughter who was sent off to a nunnery for being disobediant. She slipped her escourt and ended up working in a tavern in France. She was henceforth captured by pirates and taken to Constantiople and sold on the slave block. It was fun trying to get from Italian to middleastern, but I think I  managed it. We mourn the loss but hope she will be returned to us some day.
