[Ansteorra] Eyeglasses in period

I read the article on the history of eyeglasses with delight.  I have an idea to make our modern glasses look more period that would be easy and yet allow us to benefit from the glasses we have.  Trust me, you don't want me wandering around site w/o any eye correction.  I couldn't tell a horse from a person at a distance.  All I could tell was that there was a blob that was moving. 

Anyway, back to my idea -- how about a ribbon sleeve to slip over the bows of the glasses with a bead to hang down to replicate the weight that was used.  It would be interesting to see what people thought of that at an event.  I think I will try it and see what comments I get. 

Marc, that may solve your problem of not wanting to tie on your glasses.  Just a thought. 

My hearing aids hide pretty well in my hair, but I'm not going w/o them, either. lol.
