Keeping warm in Ansteorra is usually not a problem, but for those rare
events where it is, layers are the solution.

Good undergarments (whether period or no) with a undershirt, outshirt, and
then a heavy wool "item" are a pretty common trend through the ages... and
really not different than what we do today... I have on a t-shirt under my
dress shirt, and a jacket that I put on when I go outside.

My time period (late 1400's) i'd wear a small braes, joined wool hosen, a
linen undeshirt, outer wool wams, a waffenrock if it was chilly (or I was
wealthly) and then a cloak if it was downright cold.

I want to fight and to strive, to vie with my opponents and friends, and at
the end of the day cry out "ENOUGH!!! For I can lift my arms no longer"

That is what is good in life.
