[Ansteorra] good or bad events

Agreed! I can understand why some of what happens in Court is whipered beteen the Crown and their staff, or the Crown and the awardee, but it should be very brief. What I can't understand is why there is ALWAYS so much chatter in the back of the hall from people who won't take a seat but want to socialize. Especially at sites like Canton and Ennis, the accoustics are bad enough and then rude people who won't step outside to chat make it even harder for those of us who do want to enjoy Court. Two of my favorite Court moments are when Duke Patrick Michael and Master Modius told the gabbers to knock it off (separate occasions). What is really frustrating is that most of the time, it is people who should know better (Peers and people that have played for years and years) who are doing the chatting.
As far as the times when there is side business or something quiet happening up front, the court I attended in An Tir was often paraphrased in a humorous manner by the Royal Fool so that we who were in the audience might either be entertained or informed (or both) and not get bored. It also made Court a lot more fun.
