Yes, yes anyone interested please give them a try. If you like great
historical fiction, you will love them. They are dense but well worth it
and there are a number of discussion groups on yahoogroups.com that can
help with loads of witty like minded people on them.

While I can't speak to the source of the quote, I would like to chime in
and
wholeheartedly recommend the Lymond Chronicles (of which, The Disorderly
Knights is one) by Dame Dorothy Dunnett. They are, without exception,
the
finest works I have ever read (And to say I am a voracious reader is to
say
that the sun is bright. Books are my beloved refuge).
