[Ansteorra] baby leashes

At risk of sounding like a child-hating adult (which I'm not) I for one,
_APPERCIATE_ those of you that realize that your kids can run off in a
second and run amuck. Not just from the safety standpoint that you guys
actually use them for. But as an adult that doesn't have kids yet, I
appreciate that I don't have to "help you parent" (if you know what I mean)
I have a gf that has a partially deaf and on the high side of moderately
autistic son, and until he was about 9, she kept him on a wrist leash. Some
people will give you grief, but if you know that your brain is going to be
in 10 places at once as well as a couple hundred people milling about, then
good for you for even thinking ahead to those possible scenarios with your
child and taking an action that will keep all of those things in your
control. But in the end, those same people that generally critisize are the
ones who have children running amuck, their kids are disrespectful, etc.
So thank you for knowing your own "limitations" (I can't think of a better
word, sorry) as a parent in the SCA, and keeping both your kids safe, and
keeping other adults sane ;)
