[Ansteorra] my Persona

  Perhaps I am abnormal, but I was fine tuning my
persona at my first event.
  In all fairness, though, alot of my persona came
very naturally.
1) Scottish- mundanely, I am half Scottish
2) very late 14th century-many opportunities for an
enterprising sea captain, and I prefer those fashions.
3) the Name Robert Haddock- Haddock is my mother's
maiden name, and I always liked  the name Robert or
Rob.
4) nautical persona- the REAL clann Haddock IS a Sea
faring family back into antiquity.  Add to that, the
fact that I am retired from 21 years of active duty
with the US Navy, and it makes sense to be nautical.

 I gather I have the persona play worked out, because,
as the Baroness of Namron recently said at Beltane,
"OH, Captain, everybody knows you".
  You see, I started out portraying a merchant sea
captain, Rob Haddock. When piracy became a problem in
Ansteorran waters, I, like many others, sought a
letter of marque and reprisal, so I would have some
status from which to defend Annsteorran shipping.
Getting any peer to issue one became tantamount to the
quest for the Holy Grail.
  Then It came to me , while recieving my AOA in Dec
of ASXXXVIIII, from then- Prince Mahdi.
  I volunteered for service in the Royal Navy, only to
be informed there WAS no Royal Navy, much to his
Highness' dismay.
  I immedeately volunteered to build said Navy for the
greater glory of the Stellar Kingdom of Ansteorra. 
  Having accomplished that task, and meeting allof the
goals I set for myself, I retired, passing the torch,
as it were, and moved on to other challenges.
  As you can see, my persona  is a work in progress,
as it should be, to be believeable.
