[Ansteorra] Semi-OT question... advice sought on vehicles suitible for Ansteorra camping events...

A pick up or van is a MUST for our game, especially if you have a collection of pole arms.  I can easily fill the back of a covered Ford Ranger with gear, and have built a set of shelves to double my carry space.  If you do get a pick up, get a camper shell or cap, and if long weapons are part of your collection, be sure the truck has a sliding window on the back of the cab.
   
  As for 4*4, unless you do a lot of off roading, it's not really worth the extra expense.

In the East it's a no brainer, of course I get it, but for your environment I am 
a total novice. Are there camping event sites in the winter months where the 
weather gets things so muddy that a 4x4 is highly advised? I know I don't want 
my current AWD vehicles and hope to liquidate them up here where they are likely 
to have better resale values. But would appreciate advice on conditions in 
Ansteorra.
