[Ansteorra] SCA, the ADA, and all of us

Greetings....

As one that occasionally deals with the ADA code as well as several
other federal codes (FCC, FEMA, DHS, Etc) in my job....

Most of the subject of which has been discussed here falls under 28 CFR
Regulations and mostly in Part 36, basically known as ADA Title III
considerations.

This covers the access regulations of ...

PART 36 -- NONDISCRIMINATION ON THE BASIS OF DISABILITY BY PUBLIC
ACCOMMODATIONS AND IN COMMERCIAL FACILITIES...

I put to you this task....

Quote us chapter and verse in the code where it says....

...guarantee EQUAL ACCESS and EQUAL ENJOYMENT....

I for one have never seen it detailed that way.

Maybe I missed it.

I do know that some organizations interpret the code in that manner.

Also, based on the restrictions that someone outlined in a previous
post, who is willing to pay 20-30 dollars or higher site fees for
non-camping events ?

Folks, it is a balance of common sense.

One of my favorite sayings of Master Modius is...

"What would the common man do?"

No one is going to "win" this debate. Only carry it on longer and
longer, louder and louder....

Think about it, do what you can to help your fellow man but never loose
sight of the final goal....

Balance...

.....balance in life is good and in politics, but seldom seen.

Baron Niklas Vasilevich
Barony of Bryn Gwlad
