Goode Day!
Wow, the summer is flying by with such haste. So busy and so much to do
to get ready incase someone invades us. I didn't get to do an update last
week. Bordermarch Vscribes have been busy too. They put up some new
pictures of me and Bam the Ram. Bordermarch.org
I was talking with Mistress Tessa, she's Bordermarch's historian too. She
told me about how many people call us Barony of Bordermarch, but that we
were really Barony Bordermarch because when the King gave Bordermarch their
Charter to be a Barony it didn't have the "of" in there. We are one of the
oldest Baronies in Ansteorra and the only one without the barony of. So we
are really just: Barony Bordermarch.
I've heard tales of a mighty group of fighters called Crystal Skull. They
are legend in these parts. They say to watch towards the sea for they rise
again to help defend Border Keep and the Ansteorran border.
I heard Baron Santiago talking to a new spy last week named Nomis of Topaz
Key. I was hiding in the curtains at Border Keep and heard them talking
about the armies in Gleann Abhann getting ready to invade and how we can't
let them beat us on our own soil. Nomis looks really old, but he's really
sneaky. I was thinking the other day, maybe he's not really that old but
pretends to be as a disguise. Spies can be so tricky, they have to be
'cause spy'n is dangerous work and Baron Santiago is always looking for new
ones.
We have a new baby in Bordermarch! Lord Nikolia and Lady Bianca had a
baby boy yesterday! They are always so nice and help out a lot. Everyone
is so happy for them and baby Zakk. He weights 8 lbs and is almost 20
inches long - Some day he'll be a great warrior like his Pa.
Bam the Ram is getting big and eats a lot now. We went up on the
Archer's Wall. It's really high like the towers. Up there you can see
everything! It's a good place to protect the sally port from invaders.
A couple years ago, the wonderful Barony of Wiesenfeuer brought our
Barony a whole bunch of bricks to help build up our walls. A special brick
was painted for a reminder of their generosity. Long live the lands of the
prairie fire Wiesenfeuer! They protect Ansteorra's northern border. There
is a picture of me by the Wiesenfeuer brick too!
Next time I write I'll tell you about my new birthday, 'cause nobody knew
what day I was born on.
In humble service to the best in the whole knowne worlde -my Baron and
Baroness Santiago and Elisabeth,
-Pam the Ram Keeper
