Dearest Baron Brian du Val, Baron of Raven's Fort,
 
While am I not the guilty scribe I have been a scribe for documents and illuminations and I have messed my share. Do punish them severly, just remind them to be more carefull. Although it seems so easy after hours of scribing and illumination I have had headaches and eyeaches and cramped hands and fingers and aching wrists. Scribes jobs are sometimes taken for granted and not as appreciated as they should be.

If you look closely at this month issue of the Black Star you will find that
the Raven's Fort Scribes have mistakenly wrote that the Kingdom Banner has
"nine points". .....  I am here to assure you that the scribe
responsible for this will be dealt with severely! I know that the kingdom
scribes are diligent in their copying the written word and that they serve the
kingdom well. I do not blame them for their dedication to the exact writing of
communications of interest to the kingdom as they receive them.
...........Sigh.........I am not happy and know that the only possible
explanation for such an obvious mistake it the resentment and sorrow of our lost
love ones in the past. The Vikings have not raided our lands for several months
now and many populace members feel that they are on borrowed time. Some scribes
have been heard to say that I put to much faith in our invites to the kingdoms
warriors and nobles to come to our tourney of peace, and that I
 tempt the vikings to raid us again.
.........as for the scribe who can not count I think that he will find it
difficult to drink his tankard of ale with swollen fingers and lips.


A mullet of five greater and five lesser points..........that equals ten.

Perhaps I am being a bit too severe in my punishment. When I do discover the
scribe who can not count I will place him in the stocks and have him count the
points of the kingdom banner for period of time.
