[Ansteorra] OT: Visa Gift Cards

If you get a Visa or Mastercard gift card you want to be careful using
them at a gas station.   I used one last night on my way home.   I ran
it up at the pump.  The pump preauthorized the card for the entire
amount on the card.  the customer service rep at Mastercard said they
will return the unused portion in 7 days.   If you want to use a gift
card somewhere don't let them preauthorize your card.   just ring it
up for a specific amount.  This will include some restaurants that
preauthorize your card so you have the option of putting a tip on it.
