[Ansteorra] Please share your favorite memory of getting Largess

At one of my first few events and at my first time ever entering an A & S competition, I received a lovely ribbon with a heart on it from our King. The note accompanying the embroidery was lovely and encouraging.  I pinned it to my gown and wore it often.  If I did not wear it, I had it in my basket.  It was my first Largess ever and from the King no less!  Imagine my excitement as a newbie!!  Imagine how it inspired me in my art!!
 
Many years later, I attended a bardic competition.  We had a lovely male singer singing a sweet love ballad that had all us ladies swooning.  However, unfortunately the competition was late in the evening and he was heckled by some drunk gentlemen in the crowd.
After his performance, I re-gifted the Largess/token to him, along with the story of where and how it had been received.  He was touched and I often see him wearing the same token.
 
Largess, particularly from the nobility, can mean so much.
