Apparently she's pretty much been discredited by the museum she was donating the garment to... for trying to pass off shoddy research as "fact"...
Personally, I think it was just a grab at fame and controversy... that backfired because she didn't do good research ;)

I agree with the argument against the gown having a train. If the model were to hitch the gown up so the top sits just under the arms, as most interpretations of Viking-era overgowns do, then it shouldn't drag.
And what's with that chemise with silk sleeves *under* it?
As with the infamous banana peel in the Tudor-era strata of the London digs, I suspect the intimation that this was some sort of early Fredericks of Hollywood garment is a ploy to get people to read the article and stir up interest in the dig.
