Something that I've seen done a few times a **long** time ago (and I'm not really sure whether it's even something that can still be done), is a boffer tavern brawl.

The "fighter" had to create a boffer weapon of something found in a tavern.  We had the normal boffer knives, but also had boffer chair legs, "broken" bottles, and mugs.  The best IMO were a fish and a dead/drunk body.   :-)  We even had a competition for the most creative item found in a tavern.

Who thinks that the Bard/Tavern/Cooking event is a wonderful idea, and I would love to go, if it weren't so far away.
