If someone bounces a check on the SCA that is part of the financial 
records open to the public, not just to members.

In the past, in other kingdoms at least, officers have met behind 
closed doors to plan things that, at best, were ill advised and 
unwelcome by the populace.  Procedures keep discussions from bogging down.

Sorry gwyneth but YES, *everything*  that happens in the kingdom is 
your business as a member of the corporate entity know as the 
SCA.  You, personally, may not be interested but it is your business 
and your right to know about any and all decisions that are made on 
behalf of the kingdom.
