shires are not required to have a chronicler, the society/kingdom law was 
changed what, some four years or five years ago (maybe longer) from 
requiring the offices of treasurer, seneschal, and herald and one other to 
seneschal, treasurer and one other.  (I'd look it up, but my computer has 
crashed since then when we put in the paperwork saying we wouldn't be having 
a herald, either when I was seneschal of Mendersham 8 or 6 years ago, or 
when Angus was seneshal (6 to 4 years ago).
