  Auntie Dwen is quite right about the states rights
issue still being a "hot button" for many people.
  I was born and raised in  the border regions of the
confederacy(Oklahoma), and had an informed oppinion on
the subject by the time I started junior high school.
  I still hold that oppinion, in fact.  
  It has been 143 years since that terrible war ended,
and many people STILL refer to it, quite seriously, as
the war for Southern Independence.
  I hope that SOMEDAY the diehards will let it slide
into the past where it belongs and we can heal this
open, festering sore.
