[Ansteorra] Coronation

This was my first Coronation. Quite frankly I wouldn't have missed it for
the world. My first anniversary with the SCA is coming soon and I've
accomplished a lot in less than a year.

I have found new friends (that are just as twisted as I am). I learned that
a GOOD canvas tent makes a world of difference (such as drowning vs not
drowning). You don't wear velvet (even thin velvet) in July. You really
can put more in your truck than you thought it would hold and see have room
to sit and drive. I've been to three events with three different weather
conditions. I am looking forward to Defender it is going to be a lot of
work and fun. See you at the Troll as I have the first shift. Also to
Bordermarch where I'll be celebrating my 61st birthday.

I've learned that even if you do not know the King and Queen and the Prince
and Princess at Coronation it is still a very moving situation. I will
admit wanting to smack someone up against their pointy little heads for
talking so much I couldn't hear what was being said up front, but hey... the
babies were extremely well behaved (for real). Whoever hushed the talkers,
thank you very much.

eat again)
