Another Blackfox moment:

one strip showed a variety of responses to the question "Are you in a play?"

The first response was a slight youth in a very basic t-tunic, who replied
very enthusiastically (I'm paraphrasing here): "Oh, no! I'm a member of the
Society for Creative Anachronism. We're a medieval recreation group, and we
have branches all over the world.....(ad infinitum ad nauseam)".

The second response was another young man, this time in more tailored
clothing, who I believe replied rather tersely something to the effect of:
"No, I'm in the SCA, and we're having an event today."

The third and fourth responses showed guys in Elizabethan garb with white
belts and chains (the fourth one with a county coronet). One of them
answered "Yeah, Romeo and Juliet."

The fifth response was a bearded fellow wearing a Pennsic t-shirt and a
ducal coronet: "Shoot, no, man! We're going to a Grateful Dead concert!"

Something like that. It's been years, obviously enough <SIGH>.

I normally just say I'm going to a costume party.
