Setting up a non-profit corporation is non-trivial (BT,DT), and
involves some effort. IIRC (and ICBW here), going the non-profit
route also requires that the corporation have been in operation
for a while first -- at least for a 501(c)(3).

Welcome to the wonderful world of regulation and litigation, where
only the regulators and the lawyers profit.
