A suggestion: 

Lie down on the floor first. It's hard to fall off the floor laughing,
and if you're in a chair, on a couch, or in bed, there's a really huge
risk that you'll laugh yourself onto the floor anyway. John Wayne as
Genghis Khan makes John Wayne as a Green Beret officer almost credible.
