Individual mileage may vary. I suppose if the wound was deep it might
sting. I only know that in the 6 years I spent working with
post-surgical and injured animals we preferred Betadine. We only ever
used peroxide to clean up blood in fur or to remove Betadine stains
before sending animals home. One thing I do know... I had lots more
near misses from animals who tried to bite me while I was using
peroxide.
