[Ansteorra] Something totally different - Banners

The large banners can be quite beautiful. They do provide some logistical
issues in making them, such as the size of the frame.

I currently have a large frame that will handle 9 feet of banner at a time.
I have not tried to make a banner any longer, but I feel that the important
part would be creating a division of some sort at the length that the frame
is. This would allow you to do the painting in sections.

I also have the large frame that the new cadet banners were made on, which
are sized for the large sarongs that you can get from Dharma trading as a
finished piece.

I would be glad to offer my home and expertise for the project, but would
need willing hands and backs (my ability to bend over becomes less each day
as Yuletide approaches). I have the dyes and resists as well, and would love
to spread the addiction...errr.....skills to more people.

Here is a great site that I refer to often:

This caused me to get off my derriere and get pictures posted of some of our
work:

I really wish I would have taken pictures at Kingdom Heraldic of the banners
that were made in my class. They turned out awesomely and we were able to
accomplish a lot more than I ever dreamed. With enough hands and some good
prior planning, this project could be completed in a weekend.
