[Ansteorra] 2009 Corpora and offical statement

This is the new mission statement from the 2009 Coropora. Could someone explain to me what a "nonprofit public benefit corporation " is and what is a"living research" group. What does this rewritten mission really mean.?
 
The Articles of Incorporation shall be amended to read as herein set forth in full:
I. The name of this corporation shall be Society for Creative Anachronism, II. This corporation is a nonprofit public benefit corporation and is not organized for the Incorporated.
