Is the starting place for all US pages. I have used them for years.
Good Luck.
If you have any questions email me. I have been doing family research
since I was 13.

Subject: [Ansteorra] Family Research

There is a geneolagy web site that could be useful - Familyserach.org. -
it's a free site and may be able to help provide some info about when
and
where family members lived and when (and If) they imigrated to the U.S.
or
other countries. The information they have is mostly birth, marrige,
death,
children and then links you other family members but they are working on
getting things like census, military records, imigration records and the
like online so that people can axcess them. As it is for the moment they
link you to someplace like Ancestry.com which is a site that charges for
it's use. But there is hope some public libraries have areas set aside
for
this type of reasearch and you can axcess places like Ancestry.com for
free.
Unless you want to do it the hard way and look into the shelves of
books on
public records. Familysearch.org is a project that is being done by the
Morman Church and a lot of the info they have has been reasearched by
individuals and then donated to the project. Just a thought.
