Another thing to be aware of when traveling to see original art in religious places is that some places require women to wear dresses and socks/stockings.

This is not limited to the "old world" at Holy Archangels Monastery [Greek Orthodox] between San Antonio and Austin the dresses and socks rule is enforced and women are required to leave before the gates are closed in the evening.

A young woman I teach with also ran into the posture issue. In old country/traditional Orthodox Churches one does not cross ones legs, fold ones arms, or hide ones hands behind ones back.
