Words of advice from a Scoutmaster if it gets really cold ditch the air mattress and/or cot and sleep on the ground you will be whole lot warmer. may not be an option for some but you'll stay warmer cause the ground insulates better than air???

I have a slat bed & an air mattress. I put a blanket under the mattress, then another over the mattress then me and my other blankets.. Handwarmers are nice, too ;)?
