At BAM - November 19-22 - The Amazon Household of Ansteorra will hold an auction at Bordermarch Autumn Melees on Friday evening, November 20th at 7:00pm - place to be announced.
THE AMAZING AMAZON CHATTEL AUCTION

Each year the Amazon Household holds an auction at a Baronial event. The purpose of the auction is to help fill the War Chest/largess of the local Barony.
The Amazon Household will present for auction some of the finest young lords in Ansteorra and Gleann Abhann. If you know of a young gentleman that you feel would fetch a ‘pretty penny’ at auction and you wish to volunteer his participation (with his permission, of course); or a young gentleman you would just like to donate to the Amazons, please bring them to Mistress Regina and/or Baroness Jan on Friday at the event. Before the event, if you have questions or need information you can contact the Amazons at hejanais at yahoo.com.
CHATTEL: The lords who are auctioned off must be at least 18 years of age. 
This is an adult game. The Chattel may be gifted to the Amazons by anyone or they may volunteer themselves for the privilege of being auctioned. The number of Chattel to be auctioned will be limited. All Chattel will be expected to attend to the wishes of the lady who wins them in the auction. 
Chattel may be asked to do massages, rub feet, peel grapes, dance, sing, entertain, serve as an escort, wait on their lady - and the list goes on. A lord who serves as Chattel will not be asked to do manual camp labor, babysitting, or any menial chores. This is a game we play for fun - fun for everyone.
HOW TO BID:
We invite ALL LADIES who attend the event and who wish to participate in the auction are welcome. Only adult ladies will be allowed to make bids. No males and no minors may bid, but all who attend the event are welcome to attend the auction and enjoy the fun.
All bidding for chattel will be made with tickets. 
During the day on Friday, ladies may bring any SCA-related items they wish to use to bid to Mistress Regina or Baroness Jan. Those items will be traded for tickets which will represent the value of the item. Mistress Regina and Baroness Jan will be camping With the Ansteorran fighting company Rhoadd across the road from the BFT. Look for the banner with the Amazon A. Only tickets are used to purchase chattel and the collected items will go to the largess of the Barony. 
The Amazons will also take paper IOU’s/markers for specified items/handwork/etc. in the place of actual items. The IOU/markers are considered a promissory note to the local Baron and Baroness that said IOU/marker items will be sent/delivered to them ASAP (within 60 days) after the event. The IOU/marker must have the modern and SCA name of the bidder, an address and phone number and a description of the item being promised.
AFTER THE AUCTION: Please remember that this is an adult game. The ladies with the winning bids will have possession of the chattel only for the evening. The lord who becomes chattel is expected to follow through with the game. All chattel must be treated with respect. Ladies who mistreat their chattel will answer to the Amazon Household. We are all consenting adults (no minors may bid or be auctioned) and no one who participates is expected to do anything they do not wish to do.
All the ladies and each young man who is auctioned off by the Amazons will have the proud privilege of knowing that they helped to fill the War Chest/largess for the local Barony.
