[Ansteorra] BG Stone Soup

Stone soup was done in the early days of the SCA to supplement the "feast" (I use that word lightly).
The only money involved is what you pay for feast.
I'm not requesting anything.  I posted earlier this month that I will prove broth and just throw everything appropriate into the pot.  As cook I DO reserve the right to do something different with stuff that just won't work (let's just say anchovies).  You don't HAVE to participate...we just thought it would be fun (and besides, Don Robin made me promise to do it<G>)
Bring your contributions by the kitchen before noon.
gwyneth

To my recollection, Stone Soup was mostly used for dinner Saturday
night in the SCA camp at the Renaissance Festival down near Houston.
Folks would bring carrots, or potatoes, or meat, or noodles or
whatever and add it to the pot (or they'd contribute a dollar or two
to Mistress Janet, the cook.)

I'd guess if it was used in other places, the cook might actually
plan the soup, and buy (or request) the various components
beforehand. that'd give a more consistent, but less adverturous soup.
