[Ansteorra] Hotel update for Laurel's Prize

Greetings,
 
For those of you traveling to Laurel's Prize and looking for hotels this information is for you!  
 
There are hotels available in:
 
Pleasanton (South of SA) 61 miles from site
Beeville or Kenedy 45 miles from site
San Antonio 87 miles from site (to center of SA)
 
There is also camping available at the site, Choke Canyon State Park, Calliham Unit. This is a beautiful park with nice facililties--showers!
 
 Walk-in camping (no electricity and water) is $12 a night
Campsites with electricity and water are $20 per site
screened shelters are $40 per night
 
There is a limit of 8 people per campsite and a limit on the number of cars.
If you choose to camp you will need to call the State Park reservation desk at 
361-389-8900  or you can wait til you get to the park to see if there is anything available.
 
The gate opens at 6 am and closes at 10pm.  You must call the park, 361-786-3868, by 5 pm if you will be arriving after 10 pm to camp.
