I see someone else got struck by MyLife so I'll post this warning.  MyLife is the reincarnation of Reunion.com.  It sets up dummy accounts under every name it can find on the internet so, if you're searching for someone, you'll think they're a member and join so you can connect with them.  Then it invades your address book and expands the dummy accounts on the site and sends them all invitations.

It also purports to offer a free trial period.  You give it your charge info and are supposed to be able to cancel.  I know they processed and charged my account and they've been utterly unresponsive to requests to cancel, close the account on their website, basically won't let me leave the website and won't refund.  If you pay through PayPal, they're not going to do anything since it's a service instead of a product but they do keep a file of complaints and will eventually revoke their vendor status so file a complaint.

I set up an email account that is just for when I join new on-line groups.  If it turns out to be like MyLife, IMO a SCAM, it doesn't have access to my "real" email account and address book.  If it's legitimate, it's going to let me change my email address any time I like.
