Thank *GHODZ* Master Eldric taught me *real* drumming (we used to drum for
the local belly-dance troupe on Wednesday evenings at the Cactus
Café....Ahh, that brings back memories...

Ohh, and Ithilien? Don't you remember the "transformed unicorns"? (*rolls
eyes*)

Alden
Olde Farte and proto-fossil

I can remember years of being absolutely unable to sleep at an event because
of : dumdumdumdum dadadumdum...which was the only beat any drummer seemed to
know for a while...LOL

Widespread middle-eastern drumming didn't really get started until
around '86 or so. That's when I bought my first dumbek, although I owned
a number of other drums at the time. Prior to that drumming was pretty
much confined to Thunder camps.

I do remember the juggling fever, followed by the Mah Jongg craze.  I
don't know if either of those were kingdom-wide, but they certainly
dominated the central area.
