One historical contrast -- Stephen Crowley was named Loch Solleir Rapier Champion about six hours after becoming a White Scarf in Loch Solleir, and Robin of Gilwell was named Stargate Rapier Champion twenty-nine years after becoming a White Scarf in Stargate.

(Obviously, Queen Genevria was there, elevating Crowley.  I was quite pleased that Duchess Sieglinde, who elevated me, also happened to be in attendance.)
