[Ansteorra] Can someone confirm/deny for me?

Thank you to those who have responded to my question. Not a single one
indicated they had heard the ban on recording has been lifted, so I have
written back to my friend and told him I am not comfortable recording the
song (even if there is at least one utube of it). We'll see if I can track
down information from the Ivar himself when I head to Calontir in a couple
months. I'll only be there for a half year, though, so I'm not sure I'll run
in to him.

I suspect that it was wishful thinking on the part of my friend that the ban
had been lifted. We're now trying to figure out if it's possible for me to
meet up face-to-face with him at some point, so I can teach him the song.
(for some reason, he wants to learn it specifically from me)

Someone else asked about the origins of the song, and I believe Tivar
responded to it. It lines up with the origin story I have heard every time
it has been mentioned, but I only have word of mouth for it.

Thank you!
Audette
