I remember playing that game (Ogre Ball) back when I lived in the Outands, but we called it "Blood of Heroes". It was derived from the Rutger Hauer movie of the same title. . . Or perhaps the movie took it's idea from the game. Either way, I think it's more fun with Flossie.

The Rhoadd/Ffynnon Gath much-loved game with Flossie evolved out of the Saracen 
ead game.  Way back when - It was played in the Kingdom of the Outlands.  About 
5 years ago Master Cadwallader (RIP) of Tre Loc used to decorate a head 
nd play the game at Western Region events. So the game has been around in some 
orm or another for a long time.  Mistress Regina says that she remembers it 
eing documented but it was played on horse back.
