Another option, of course, is to start your own group and run it the way
you'd like.  There are quite a lot of folks who are members of the SCA
who have done just that.

I think that all of those things are worthy and possible, even the
mansion and the yacht. However, I think that the mansion and the yacht
are less attainable than everything else you listed.

I would like to see SCA, Unincorporated, where we're all able to do what
makes OUR Kingdom happy. I understand that out group needs insurance to
rent sites, but we don't need SCA, Inc. for insurance. SCA, Inc. doesn't
help support us, except in a few legal aspects that we could take care
of ourselves.

You know, I could be wrong. Can someone please tell me what SCA, Inc.
does for us that we couldn't do for ourselves, with the same amount of
time, paperwork, and money that we're presently spending?
