In Atlantic City, NJ, the town where I grew up, there is a Korean War Memorial next to the high school (the old one where I went). On it is carved this saying, and it is attributed to Edmund Burke. I have a great deal of difficulty believing that the city fathers didn't bother to do the research necessary to make sure the quote was attributed correctly... but then, stranger things have happened. Rua (going back into lurk-mode)

In a moderated forum, they can usually be rather quickly disposed of as well However, when the attack is direct and personal, the person attacked and their feelings must also be considered and they should not be left to wonder if the silence means agreement with the troll. As I recall, chivalry often demands to be championed.
