On page 14 of the manual it states
“
7. Handbows

a. Handbow's power is measured at 28 inches (71 cm). If the bow cannot be drawn 28 inches (71 cm), then it cannot be used in SCA combat.

b. The minimum measurement for all handbows is 20 pounds (9.1 kg) at 28 inches (71 cm).

c. Light handbows measure 30 pounds (13.6 kg) or less at 28 inches (71 cm).

d. Heavy handbows measure 50 pounds (22.7 kg) or less at 28 inches (71 cm).”

I am not sure what that means but I was under the belief that for combat archery there was a limit of 30 pounds at 28 inches. Do not use a bow that has a draw length less than 28 inches since they will test all bows to a 28 inch draw and break a lesser bow.

Siloflex shafts - can also be used in this kingdom, not sure if anyone is though, rating for this is 100 psi. It would require a heavier crossbow than what is used for fiberglass. 800 inch pounds is the limit.
Using a recurve or long bow is limited to 40 lb., draw at 28 inches.
