Hmm..interesting idea..
Sort of along the lines of the red and white "BFT" that was used at
Bordermarch's Autumn Melee's last year?

sites w/ climate controlled buildings."

Some other things to ponder:

Whether it's fighting inside or outside, or looking at other options A&S
events, etc.., there will always be pros and cons and elements to consider:
Heat
Allergies
Space amenities, size, etc.
Cost
etc, etc, etc

With the economy as of late and availability of locations, the people
planning the events need to decide what are the most important needs for an
event.  What are absolute requirements for the event? (i.e. you legally
can't hold Royal Huntsman or Kings Lancer in a 20x30 classroom. *grin* )
What are some items that can be worked around?  Do we need showers?  How
many people are camping?
If we want an air conditioned location that has most or all of the amenities
that we want but it's really expensive to rent, are we (the people attending
the events) willing to pay $20 a person for site fee for a one-day event?

And then when an event and it's location is announced, the people attending
need to decide if they want to brave the elements, whatever they may be:
heat, cold, pollen, rain, small hall, large hall, too mundane, too
primitive.  Someone is going to find a problem with any location that is
selected.  You can't make everyone happy.  We work with what we got.  :-)
