I'm just a poor dumb hick hillbilly, but to my mind, that phrase, delivered that way in this context, is NEVER appropriately accompanied by a smiley, unless its clear the smile shapes the lips only, and the eyes put the lie to it.

Really, I think it's time to take a breath. None of this is worth blood. And if thngs have been said that are, it's time to offer SINCERE apologies.
