Depends on how it is glued to the Kydex. What will matter with the
Kydex shattering is what kind is it. Kydex 100 or Kydex T should not
shatter if formed properly. Heat to about 250 degrees and form it to
the shape you want. Do not run it under or stick in cold water too cool
it quicker. It will cool quick enough by itself to hold the shape. You
will temper some types of Kydex when you cool it quickly. After forming
glue your leather to it with contact cement. Sand the surface of the
plastics first. Allows the glue to grip better. Take some time and do
it right and enjoy something that should last for years.
