Well met, noble cozyns!

I wanted to let as many people as possible know that, this year at King's
College, I will be reprising my class "An Introduction to Reading Old
English". This 2-hour class is an introduction to spelling and pronunciation
rules as have been reconstructed by Old English specialists in the last two
centuries, including some time to practice reading some Old English texts
themselves (like Beowulf and The Dream of the Rood). The class begins at
1:00 p.m. in Room 201.

I've listed class size as twenty, and I will be printing that number of
packets of several photocopies from books I will use in the class. More than
twenty may attend, of course, as room permits, but if you want to make sure
you get a copy of the packet ahead of time, please do not hesitate to e-mail
me at HerrDetlef at gmail.com, and I will be more than happy to supply you with
the scans from which I will print those packets.

I hope to see you there! And I hope that you come to enjoy reading Old
English as much as I do!

Yours in These Current Middle Ages,
DT+LF
