Heading to Houston for the King's College event this weekend?
Here are a few highlights of Houston area museum exhibits currently:
Museum of Fine Arts Houston: http://www.mfah.org/
* Light of the Sufi's - an exhibit of Islamic arts,
some fibers, metals, many historical items, and a number of current modern arts,
very nice collection of some 30+ scribal pages.
* Charles Russell Masterworks - large exhibit of sculptures and paintings from the
artisan of the American west during the early 1900's. Very nice exhibit.
Museum of Natural Science: http://www.hmns.org/
* Magic! - Magic—illusory feats of wonder that dazzle the eye and confound expectations—has fascinated humanity for centuries. Mesmerized by the masters of illusion who perform this mysterious craft, we're drawn to the spectacle, curious to discover "How did he do that?"
* Faberge - Discover the spectacular designs of Carl Fabergé, a master goldsmith and legendary jeweler who is still celebrated for his inventive design and meticulous craftsmanship
Other great fun things in Houston, for the family and kids as well:
Battleship Texas, Space Center Houston, Children's Museum (lots of interactives), Medical Science Museum and more:

Make a weekend of it, King's College in Stargate!
