Thank you so much!

I'm a double/triple 'orphan' as the Gnomon Vale/Rundel group (McAlester OK) went away several years ago. However, I noted you even have my old (literally) college group, Tandure, from Durant OK back in the 80's. I also went to a fighter practice in what was Rothund Keep (Tishomingo OK)

Subject: [Ansteorra] lost branches

A few years ago, Mari ingen Briain meic Donnchada compiled a list of all the old branch names she could find--those that had been superseded by other names and those that had belonged to branches that no longer existed.  I've just finished entering them (plus a few others I encountered along the way) into the history wiki <http://historian.ansteorra.org/wiki>, creating a page for each branch and making a redirect to that page for each name it's had other than its current or final one.  It should now be possible to search for any name by which you might've known a branch in days past and find the page on it.  (Unless, of course, I've missed some. . .which is very possible.)

Some of those pages, however, contain very little information.  I've done what justice I could to the branches that have disappeared, sketching out their arms (if they had them) and collecting whatever scraps of information about them the Internet might contain.  But it's up to those of you who were there and who loved Middleford or Bisons Run or Black Oak Keep or any of the others to share your recollections if you want them to be remembered for what made them special.  I hope you will.  The kingdom's oldtimers are forever saying its history is proud and storied, and I'd like to learn more about it.

(I'm not the kingdom historian or responsible for the design or maintenance of the wiki, by the way--just a citizen of Ansteorra who's willing to help make that resource valuable.  The ease with which each of us can do that is one of the advantages of the system.)
