I should also remind anyone who is offended at the apparent Texas-
centricity that when the name was chosen, Oklahoma played little if
any role in the SCA region as it then existed. Stargate, Steppes,
Bjornsborg, and Bordermarch were the primary players all of which are
in Texas. I'm not trying to minimize the extremely important role that
the northern groups have played in kingdom history, just suggest that
their apparent omission was not done with malice aforethought.
